Shishei (pronounced she-shay) is a boba connoisseur, artist, Gemini, and student affairs professional. Originally from Hong Kong, she is deeply committed to honoring and preserving her Asian-Hong Konger-Chinese American heritage. Shishei proudly calls Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Portland all home, and she is fluent in both Cantonese and Mandarin.
As Program Director for SEEDS, she manages most student facing community engagement initiatives, working closely with student leaders and the Office for Institutional Diversity at 91²ÝÝ®ÊÓÆµ. Her work centers in joy and metigate inequality for students. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies—with a thematic focus on Restorative Justice in Higher Education—and a minor in Human Services from California State University, Fullerton. She also earned a master’s degree in Student Affairs Administration from Lewis & Clark College.
Shishei is actively involved in , having been a NUFP, DLI and GAP participant, and has held multiple leadership roles within the organization.
As an extroverted-INFP, you’ll often find her painting, diving into DIY projects, or curled up with her cats—Boba, Ponzu, and Getty—reading manga and munching on Hot Cheetos fries during her downtime.
